Mogilev Amusement Park Manager Sentenced After 18-Year-Old Intern's Death
In Mogilev, the manager of an amusement park was sentenced to 2.5 years in a correctional settlement colony due to the death of an 18-year-old intern.

The tragedy occurred on May 1st. After the 'Salto' attraction cycle ended, and visitors had already left, the carousel's balancer began to move because it had not been secured. The moving part of the structure struck the young man on the head. He died on the spot from the resulting craniocerebral injury.
The Investigative Committee reported that the 25-year-old park manager was brought to justice. She was responsible for adhering to safety regulations and occupational health, as well as for the safe operation of the attractions.
The court found that the woman allowed the 18-year-old intern to work on the attraction, even though no formal employment relationship had been established with him. The young man had not undergone the mandatory medical examination, training, internship, initial briefing, or knowledge verification in the field of industrial safety and occupational health.
The court found the manager guilty of violating occupational safety rules by an official, which negligently led to a person's death. Her sincere repentance was taken into account when the verdict was rendered.
The woman was sentenced to two and a half years in a correctional settlement colony. Furthermore, she is prohibited for five years from holding positions involving organizational and administrative duties.
The amusement park acted as a civil defendant in the case. The court ruled to recover 150,000 rubles from the organization in favor of the deceased's mother, who was recognized as the injured party, as compensation for moral damages.
