Saladuha Revealed Why He Agreed to 'Spin the Goose' in a Viral Casino Ad

The singer insists he didn't realize he would be advertising a betting company. He says he thought "Maxline" was something about a football club. But he believes it's an advertising triumph if even Lukashenka was outraged.

Alyaksandr Saladuha spoke about how he agreed to "spin the goose" in the podcast "Khata House":

"The company "Maxline" invited me to star in a commercial. Moreover, I didn't even know that, as it turns out, they have a casino. I thought: this is just some ordinary company. I knew there was a football club that took first place last year, moving directly from the first league to the top league. I thought we would be advertising them."

The only thing that surprised the artist, who actively participates in advertisements, was that the video took longer to make than usual. A week, a second, a third... Then he learned that during this time, the video was created with the help of artificial intelligence.

But when Saladuha finally saw the result, he says he was shocked. There were several versions of the advertisement — a short one and a long one.

"But perhaps this is the triumph of advertising. Yes, that when the head of state, our president Alyaksandr Ryhoravich, at one of the meetings in the presence of the entire country's leadership says: "What are you spinning that goose from morning till night?" Well, he also went after others, "Fanbet" and so on... Something like that... So I really, it turns out, purely as an actor, as an artist who was invited... Everything with me is solid, in the sense that, by contract, they paid me a non-cash fee within the framework of the agreement with "Maxline." I didn't even think about it... But it happened... Although my sons, and my close circle, my drivers, already told me: "Oh, it's going to be hot!" I said: "It's normal."

Saladuha learned from the media that he was actually advertising a casino. As he says, from "the guys and girls from that shore who write all sorts of things" (referring to independent/opposition media).

"And people there supposedly play and lose big money and apartments. But it's every person's right to play or not to play. Logical, right? I don't play, my sons don't play either."

The artist admits that there was too much noise. But he says that after the viral advertisement, he received more performance requests. Although he claims that the "country was already tearing him apart" (i.e., he was already in high demand).

Recall: in the advertisement for the Maxline betting company, Alyaksandr Saladuha seems to fly out of the TV screen and hit a wall. After which he finds himself in very strange company: footballer Valer Hramyka, the god Zeus, a mummy, Indiana Jones…

Saladuha, flashing his legendary veneers, sings a simple text with a goose in his hands, to the tune of his hit "Vinahrad" (Grape):

"You spin, spin the goose
With "Maxline."
You spin, spin the goose
Really.

You spin, spin the goose
Online.
You spin, spin the goose
With "Maxline."

It should be added that in the sphere of online casinos, there really is a Russian-language expression "круціць гуся" (krutits' husya) meaning "to spin slots." But it is little known. The mass youth audience knows the expressions "душыць гусь" (dushits' husya, "strangle the goose"), "цягнуць гусь" (tsyahnuts' husya, "pull the goose"), and sometimes "круціць гусь" (krutits' husya, "spin the goose"), which refer to male masturbation.

The advertisement even reached Lukashenka, as he began to express outrage: "What is happening in the country: everyone is spinning this goose here. Pay attention, Dzmitry Mikalayevich [Krutoi], seriously address this," Lukashenka instructed."
