"The decision is, as it were, rational." Pazniak spoke about Trump's diesel deal with Putin
Zianon Pazniak, a veteran of the Belarusian movement, wrote in his Telegram channel "a few simple words for Belarusians who intelligently observe reality." In them, he expressed his attitude towards the recent deal between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin and regretted that "there was no understanding with the leadership of Ukraine here."

According to Zianon Pazniak:
"Left-wing hatred against President Trump grips fans stronger than a football championship. Especially since the fandom is irrational. Now is just another outbreak of populist hatred."
He fully supports Trump's desire to resolve the Iranian issue and force Iran to abandon the creation of nuclear weapons. Zianon Pazniak believes that the war with Iran is unfolding in favor of the American president:
"If Iran possessed nuclear weapons, the issue of its sole control over the [Strait of Hormuz] would be resolved. The US Navy now controls the strait, and military events are proceeding quite thoughtfully. President Trump's endurance and consistency are also noticeable here."
But at the same time, Pazniak admits that the issue, also related to this war, is not in favor of Donald Trump's administration: "this is the increase in the price of oil, gasoline, and especially diesel (because it is primarily related to trade, transport, production, and agriculture in the USA)."
And this is already relevant to the affairs of our region, regarding which Zianon Pazniak explains Trump's policy in detail:
"US demands to Ukraine (personally to Zelensky) — not to bomb Russian refineries. (Meaning, it's okay to bomb everything else, just not oil refineries, because this would hit global fuel prices, and first and foremost the USA).
In fact, a bilateral agreement on the rules of warfare was needed. Unfortunately, there was no understanding with the leadership of Ukraine here, and President Trump, as if to bring down the high domestic price of diesel before the midterm elections, entered into a temporary agreement to purchase a meager amount of Russian diesel.
(The irony is that the Russians themselves buy diesel, and the agreement looks like propaganda. Moreover, it will have no real impact on Ukraine, just as it will have no impact on America, and Trump knows that).
Nevertheless, the decision is, as it were, rational. How much it will affect fuel prices, and especially the electoral behavior of Americans, we will find out in a month.
But it is possible that President Trump, in the style of his "burlesque" politics, which is not very clear to others, may actually abandon it himself and propose another surprise. But for now, the global oil price revolves around the situation in the Strait of Hormuz."
