Minsk City Executive Committee Official Sentenced to 8 Years for 40,000 Ruble Bribe
The Grodno Prosecutor's Office reported the outcome of the criminal case against a 50-year-old Minsk resident, who was found guilty of receiving a bribe on a particularly large scale.

From February 2024 to May 2025, the man, who headed one of the structural divisions of the Minsk City Executive Committee, repeatedly received bribes from a representative of a commercial organization. This involved money, building materials, and free finishing work in his home.
In return, the official was to organize and ensure the procurement of equipment for healthcare institutions specifically from this commercial structure, as well as facilitate the allocation of budget funds for these procurements.
Over the year, he received more than 40,000 rubles in this way.
The court, taking into account the evidence presented by the state prosecutor, delivered a guilty verdict. The man was sentenced to eight years of imprisonment, to be served in a correctional colony under enhanced security conditions.
In addition, he must pay a fine of 600 basic units – 27,000 rubles. He is prohibited for five years from holding positions involving organizational, administrative, and economic duties, as well as performing legally significant actions. The court also stripped him of his rank of "reserve medical service major."
