It transports oil and oil products from Russia, Iran, and Venezuela

The Trump administration is considering easing sanctions against "shadow fleet" vessels that transport oil and oil products from Russia, Iran, and Venezuela. This was reported by Reuters with reference to sources.
According to the agency, the US is discussing the possibility of allowing the transportation of non-sanctioned oil by the "shadow fleet". The goal is to ensure the export of larger volumes of refined products and crude oil from the Persian Gulf, a US official said.
Companies wishing to use sanctioned vessels would need to apply to the U.S. Treasury Department for permission, a Reuters source said.
The U.S. Department of Energy assured the agency that any steps to ease sanctions against the "shadow fleet" would not help Russia transport oil or oil products.
