Belarusian tutors lose another convenient online tool — Miro disconnects users from Belarus
Belarusian educators had barely recovered from the shock of losing data after attacks on Yandex data centers, when a new misfortune struck.

As Nasha Niva learned, Belarusian tutors are now receiving letters from the foreign service Miro (this is an infinite online whiteboard where a teacher can place images, tests, diagrams, exercises, tables – and work on all of this simultaneously with a student). The business has Russian roots, but is now registered in the USA.
The company warned users that from October 15, Miro will expand the list of countries where IP-address blocking will apply — the service will be inaccessible from the territory of Belarus and Russia.
In August 2024, Miro had already announced the cessation of service for accounts from Belarus and Russia. But already in September, it clarified that free accounts would be able to continue working — only paid subscriptions fell under the restrictions.
Now, however, the company's policy is becoming stricter. This is explained by sanction risks.
According to Nasha Niva's sources, about 70% of online tutors in Belarus used Miro. But in this case, they do not lose optimism and say that they will still continue to use Miro, but through a VPN.
