From October 17 to 24, the XIV Festival of Independent Belarusian Culture "Zhyvitsa" will take place in Wrocław. The program includes a meeting with Uladzimir Niakliayeu, theater, cinema, exhibitions, and masterclasses for children and adults.

The organizers invite both those who have lived in Wrocław for a long time and Belarusians who have found a safe home here after the repressions. For them, the festival is an opportunity to meet, hear the Belarusian language, and jointly create culture outside of Belarus.
"We not only remember the country we come from but also create new forms of life and culture here, in Wrocław," the announcement states.
The name "Zhyvitsa" (żywica) refers to tree resin, which helps it heal damage. For the organizers, it is an image of culture capable of preserving memory and sustaining life.
