Horvat Palace in Naroulia Continues its Restoration. The Roof is Completely Restored
Recently, the lost balustrade was installed on the attic — the roof has been completely restored. On both sides of the building, porches are being rebuilt to replace the dilapidated ones. The window openings of the basements are also being relaid and plastered, writes the publication 'Strong News'.

However, it is not without difficulties. For 2026, for example, they planned to completely plaster the walls and install communications. But they encountered mold, salts, and fungi in the bricks, and the dilapidated condition of the porches.
As for the communications — an ancient oak tree, which cannot be touched, was found in the way according to the project, so the project needs to be redesigned. But the team does not give up and continues to work, surprising both guests and Naroulia residents.

How the Palace has changed during its restoration was shown by the owner of the object and project manager Piotr Kuzniatsou — as part of a scientific and practical conference of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, dedicated to the history and cultural heritage of the Naroulia region. It was held on October 8-9.

The Naroulia District Executive Committee became a co-organizer of the event. The head of the district executive committee, Dzianis Yadchanka, delivered a welcoming speech, and reports at the plenary session were given by the Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences, Vadzim Lakiza, leading researcher Aleh Dziarnovich, Rector of the Minsk Theological Seminary, Archimandrite Athanasius, and others.
Two sessions were dedicated to the Horvat Palace: a field session on the topic 'Restoration of the Naroulia Palace: Current Stages and Prospective Works' was led by Piotr Kuzniatsou, and on the following day, Siarhei Kasabutski, director of ProKProject LLC, spoke on the topic 'Restoration of the Naroulia Palace: Key Design Solutions'.
