In Bobruisk, a pensioner became a victim of scammers for the third time in two years
In Belarus, a pensioner lost over 12,000 rubles after believing promises of quick earnings on the stock exchange. When the woman went to the bank to find out how to get her money back, an employee advised her to contact the police as soon as possible. The incident was reported by the Investigative Committee.

In March 2026, a 71-year-old resident of Bobruisk saw an advertisement online related to earning opportunities. Despite having already lost 2,000 rubles to scammers in 2024, and a year later selling her apartment to invest money in stock exchange investments, the pensioner again believed promises of quick profit.
Following the instructions of a person who called himself an analyst, the woman registered on a suspicious website and created a personal account. For several months, she followed the scammer's instructions and transferred more than 12,000 rubles to the accounts he specified. Later, in her account, the pensioner saw the promised profit, but she was unable to withdraw these funds.
When the woman contacted the bank for an explanation on how to proceed, an employee, after hearing her story, advised her to immediately report the incident to the police.
As noted by the Investigative Committee, the pensioner lives alone, and her son is in Russia. The lack of communication and the desire to provide for herself made the woman particularly vulnerable to the psychological influence of scammers.
