The incident occurred at the railway station in Brest.

An attempt to catch a departing train resulted in serious injuries for a 53-year-old local resident, reported the State Committee of Forensic Examinations.
The man was late for the train. As the train started moving, the passenger decided to take a risk and tried to jump into the carriage while it was in motion. However, he failed to hold onto the handrail: the man fell and landed in the space between the platform and the railway tracks.
With injuries, the resident of Brest was taken to the hospital. An examination was appointed to determine the severity of the bodily harm.
The man sustained a closed fracture of the radius bone.
