Inna Kuley, wife of Belarusian politician and public figure Alexander Milinkevich, reported on Facebook the latest news about his health condition.

"He is in the intensive care unit, he was put into a drug-induced sleep. This is important to allow the body to get stronger without wasting energy on movement.
His condition is stable. Neurologists will make decisions about further steps," Inna Kuley wrote.
On November 25, Alexander Milinkevich underwent surgery to remove a blood clot that blocked 80% of his carotid artery. During the operation, there was severe bleeding, after which the politician ended up in intensive care in a very serious condition.
Alexander Milinkevich is now 78 years old. He is from Grodno. In 1990-1996 he was the deputy chairman of the Grodno City Executive Committee, at that time he strongly contributed to the Belarusianization of the city. In 2006, he was a candidate from the democratic opposition with the status of "unified" in the presidential elections. Later, he created the "For Freedom" movement and was its leader until 2016.
