Nitric acid spill occurred in Minsk

The incident occurred on the territory of an enterprise on Babushkina Street, reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

The truck contains eurocubes with nitric acid (15 containers of 1 m³ each). Ministry of Emergency Situations units created a foam blanket and limited the spread of liquid vapors with sprayers. Rescuers pumped non-concentrated nitric acid from two damaged containers into reserve ones.

After the work was carried out, no exceeding of the maximum permissible concentration of vapors was recorded. There are no casualties. The cause of the incident is being established.

10 units of equipment worked at the scene of the incident.
