Ushakov: No compromises were reached during Putin's meeting with Whitkoff
Following a five-hour meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin, US Special Representative Steve Witkoff, and US President Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov was tasked with reporting on its results on the Russian side.

Yuri Ushakov stated that Vladimir Putin's conversation with Steve Witkoff was constructive, very useful, and substantive. Moscow supposedly can agree with something within the framework of the US plan for Ukraine, but something also elicits criticism from the Russian side.
No compromises were found during the meeting, therefore, a meeting between Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump is not planned at the moment. The possibility of this meeting will depend on the progress made in resolving the situation.
The parties declared their readiness to continue working together to achieve a settlement in Ukraine.
According to Ushakov, the parties discussed not specific formulations and solutions, but the essence of the problem. At the same time, Russia and the United States agreed not to disclose the essence of the negotiations.
