Losik spoke about a brutal murder in a detention center cell in Borisov.

The inmates beat a confession out of the person and went too far.

Ex-political prisoner and blogger Igor Losik shared a horrific story on his Telegram channel .

"Press cells of Belarus. Imagine that you are detained and placed in a temporary detention facility. Let's say it's the infamous Borisov one. There was a first cell there, which was very dangerous to get into. Although the conditions in the cell are excellent: a phone, any food, a TV, vodka, even drugs. But you only get there because you don't admit guilt. And in this cell, they will quickly convince you that this is wrong. That it is better to write a confession, and even better to take on something else from the "unsolved cases." And they will even give you a prepared text and a blank sheet of paper. For refusing, you will be brutally beaten until you sign everything. And the guards will stand and watch in the open feeder as you are beaten half to death.

I didn't really believe it myself until I met people who had gone through it all firsthand. A young guy, Egor Bogdan, was transferred to me in Zhodino. He was caught near Dzerzhinsk with marijuana and thrown into the Dzerzhinsk press cell."

He was beaten so badly that he wrote down everything they demanded of him, word for word. He was beaten so badly that the Zhodino pre-trial detention center initially didn't even accept him because of the beatings, but not only was he beaten, but he was also forced to call his mother and demand that she transfer 500 rubles to the account of one of the "press cell" inmates. After being beaten half to death right under the open feeder, behind which the guard stood, watching everything and not reacting to the wild screams, he was thrown onto the "palm" and given vodka. But he signed the papers, and when he hired a lawyer, the lawyer only advised that nothing could be done about it, that it was pointless to write complaints anywhere, and that it would only create new problems. He was allegedly beaten by a short Azerbaijani man.

Later, similar stories periodically reached me, in which this Azerbaijani man figured, who mainly lived in the Borisov detention center, but sometimes toured other places. And this year, the day before the presidential election, the door to the KGB pre-trial detention center opens, and they simply throw a man at us. All bruised, in a bunch of tattoos, with broken swastikas, his name is Vyacheslav Shvets, 48 years old, of which 31 years were spent in prison. He was put in the "American" prison for murder. For murder in the detention center cell. A rather rare case, especially in such a specific pre-trial detention center. In the corridor, we hear how his accomplice - the very same "Azerbaijani" named Aliyev - is thrown into the neighboring cell even more harshly. Then it turns out that this Aliyev went to the same school as me in Baranovichi, and I remember him and his brother.

They sat in cell number 1 in Borisov in complete comfort and like at work, any food, drinks, even sometimes women were brought in for entertainment. For each confession extracted by force, they received another 80 rubles, yes, the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption (according to them) covered it all up together with the leadership of the detention center. When necessary, the recordings from the cameras were deleted.

They had been working like this for many years, and then a few days before the presidential election, on January 26, they threw a 59-year-old man at them. Being very drunk on "Strong Nut," they went too far at night with extracting testimony and beat this man to death. They beat him with their feet, hands, and a bottle of water on the head. As a result, he died. Kubrakov himself came to the detention center, but the case could not be hushed up.

As far as I know, some of the detention center's superiors were fired and some were arrested. Although they tried very hard to hush it all up and even told Aliyev and Shvets what testimony to give. But something went wrong, and as a result, the "press cell" inmates ended up in the KGB, and when they started pulling the thread, it turned out that there were more than one or two such schemes in the country.

At first, Shvets and Aliyev were even handcuffed to the bunk at night by both hands, just in case. One of them cracked very quickly, realizing that there was no point in denying it, everything was caught on camera and the recording could not be hidden this time. The second resisted longer, but also gave in. As a result, they collected so much testimony that, if the law is followed, a lot of criminal cases need to be reviewed, because the confessions in them were extracted by force by these two. They named many names, some are still in prison, some have been released, and investigators across the country went and took testimony from prisoners who had been beaten by this pair."
