"I'm the one in the fur coat." A young seamstress worked in a fur coat while state TV reported that it wasn't cold at the factory in Zhlobin
After complaints about the cold at a sewing factory in Zhlobin, state TV filmed a report to show that "everything is normal," but the opposite happened. A worker who appeared in the frame in a fur coat later told a little about herself on social media.
It all started with a complaint from workers at a sewing factory in Zhlobin about the terrible cold in the enterprise's workshops. According to them, the temperature stays at around 10 degrees Celsius, and working in such conditions is very difficult.
After the complaints, state TV released a report from the factory. Propagandists wanted to convince viewers that the temperature was normal. An inspection arrived at the factory. The inspector stated that the temperature in the workshop was not 10 degrees, but 18. However, since this is still 2 degrees below the norm, the management was ordered to rectify the situation.
At the same time, one of the workers shown in the report was forced to work in a fur coat. She admitted that she was cold, so she had to dress warmly. Her clothing looked too warm for "18 degrees." Another employee also complained about the cold – she was working in a knitted sweater.
The factory director promised to introduce additional breaks so that employees could "warm up near microwaves and kettles" in the breakroom.
This situation was discussed on TikTok. As a result, the video was seen by one of the heroines of the report – the same girl in winter clothing.
"I'm the one in the fur coat. I work there. Ask questions," the worker wrote in the comments to the video. Hanna is 18 years old. It turned out that she got to the factory through job placement.
The girl clarified in the comments that she had two more sweaters under her fur coat.
When offered to continue complaining, the worker replied that it was useless. Therefore, according to her, "we have to endure and wait for the end of the compulsory service period."
At the same time, the girl noted that there is plenty of other work in Zhlobin.
When asked about her salary, the seamstress answered honestly:
"I'm even afraid to name such figures. Go to the store once, buy something to drink – and that's it."
Most TikTok users are surprised how one can work in such conditions and warn about health consequences. Some advise trying to get a reallocation, as the employer is not fulfilling the working conditions specified in the contract.
One woman added that the problem at this factory has existed for decades: her mother worked at the mentioned enterprise for 40 years.
"It was always cold there, no matter how you dressed. And there are no frosts yet. And before, it really was 10 degrees," she summarized.
