Schools in Kyiv may switch to distance learning in case of power and water outages
Amidst regular enemy attacks by Russia, Kyiv schools are forced to adapt not only to prolonged air raid alarms but also to their consequences. Therefore, parents in Kyiv were explained how children might study during electricity and water outages, writes RBC-Ukraine.

What happens if there is no electricity in the school?
During power outages — if technical capabilities allow — educational institutions will use alternative sources of electricity and lighting: generators; inverters; charging stations.
"If the lighting is insufficient for written assignments, teachers can conduct lessons in an oral format until the necessary conditions are restored," specified the Kyiv City Administration.
If the school cannot provide proper conditions for children's stay, students are transferred to distance learning — until the necessary conditions are restored.
What happens if there is no water supply in the school?
The Department of Education and Science reminded that the operation of an educational institution in an in-person format is possible only if sanitary requirements are met.
Thus, if these cannot be ensured due to a lack of water, in-person learning is suspended, and the educational process is organized remotely — until the situation improves.
