In Minsk, Karastayanava Street is being widened and extended. The new road will create a direct route from the Second Ring Road to "Northern Shore" and an exit to the Minsk Ring Road (MKAD). Space for high-speed public transport — tram or electric bus — has been provided along it.

Karastayanava Street is being connected to Langbard Street. The total length of the six-lane highway to the MKAD will be more than three kilometers. The new route is planned to open by the end of 2026, Minskstroy reports.
The first section, 1.23 kilometers long, from the "Northern Shore" side, was commissioned back in 2024. Now, the next section — 980 meters long — is under construction.

On most of this section, the lower layers of asphalt have already been laid. Builders are installing lighting and laying sidewalks with tactile strips, as well as zones for pedestrians and cyclists. Five public transport stops, traffic lights, and fencing between opposing traffic flows will appear here.
The main work is currently underway near the former "Karastayanava" dispatch station. There, engineering networks are being re-laid, and a turnaround loop for public transport is being built. Simultaneously, 200 meters of Karastayanava Street from Nyakrasava towards Arlouskaya are being reconstructed.
Trees and lawns are planned to be planted in spring.
