Pregnant Belarusian woman held a solo picket in Gdańsk against long wait for residence permit. She has been waiting for over 470 days
Even a won court case has not yet moved the matter forward.

A Belarusian woman has held a solo picket for the second time near the Voivodeship Office in Gdańsk, noted MOST.
On her poster is the story of a family divided by waiting for documents:
"In Belarus - an elderly father with a disability. In Poland - a husband and a small child. Going to my father - an impossibility to return to my family. Who should I choose: father or child? The office doesn't care."
Aliaksandra applied for a residence permit on the basis of family reunification. She is now expecting her second child. According to her, there is no longer any hope of visiting her father before childbirth.
She considered the possibility of going to Belarus and obtaining a Polish visa there to return. But she joined the visa queue on June 10 and is still waiting. Letters to the consul with medical documents and a complaint to the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs have not yet helped.
The woman also appealed to the court with a complaint about the inaction of the department. According to Aliaksandra, the court supported her on all points, specifically noting the family circumstances and confirming that the documents were in order.
She is now waiting for the case materials to be returned from the court to the office so that it can continue its review. However, as the Belarusian woman reported on Threads, the request for the return of the case to the court has not yet been received, although officials promised to send it last week.
"I'm not expecting quick results, I'm just collecting and recording facts," Aliaksandra wrote after the second picket.
