Trains from Minsk to Moscow will now stop at the new "Moscow-City" railway station. Previously it was reported that Belarusian trains would not stop there, as the station was primarily intended for urban and suburban electric trains, but now the decision has changed, writes Blizko.by.

Until now, trains from Minsk stopped in Moscow only at Belorussky Station, and on the way to the Russian capital — at major stations in Smolensk, Safonovo, and Vyazma. Some also stopped in Gzhatsk and Mozhaisk.
The new "Moscow-City" station is located on the first line of the Moscow Central Diameters — MCD-1, which connects the Belorussky and Savyolovsky directions of the Moscow Railway. It was built on the site of the old "Testovskaya" station. The station is part of a large "Moscow-City" transport hub, which combines several metro lines and suburban trains. According to the publication, it is designed to serve about 100,000 passengers per day.
The "Moscow-City" station has already appeared in the schedule for at least three trains from Belarus — the high-speed "Lastochka" trains No. 718, 720, and 722.
