Recall, the accident occurred late in the evening on July 31.
40-year-old motorcyclist Andrei Chykon was riding with his 31-year-old passenger Marina behind him on Maskouskaya Street in Brest. He was racing with an Audi car and another motorcycle — their drivers were subsequently penalized administratively.
However, Chykon eventually crashed into an accompanying Viper moped. All three died — Chykon himself, his passenger, and the 45-year-old moped driver Vadim Litvinchuk.
On this section of the road, it is permitted to drive no faster than 70 km/h. Investigators removed an action camera from the motorcycle. According to its recording, 800 meters before the collision site, the motorcycle was traveling at a speed of 186 km/h.
Investigators also examined Chykon's social media. There they found a video where he speeds up to 230 km/h on public roads.
