Alena Ratmirava, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, who previously held this position, resigned herself, the Academy says.

The position of first vice-rector at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts has been vacant since Monday.
“The person resigned. Currently, we are without a first vice-rector; no one has been appointed yet,” confirmed the reception.
In 1993, Alena Ratmirava graduated from Vitebsk State Pedagogical Institute (Art and Graphics Faculty). Until 2006, she worked at Gymnasium No. 10 in Maladzyechna as a teacher of fine arts and labor.
Concurrently, she enrolled in postgraduate studies at the National Institute of Education. She defended her candidate's thesis on the topic “Didactic features of mastering elements of project activity by 5th-7th grade students in technology lessons.” In 2021, she completed her doctoral studies.
Previously, Ratmirava held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Professional Development at the Minsk Regional Institute for Education Development. After that, she took a position at the Academy of Arts.

It is known that Alena Ratmirava currently continues her work at the Minsk City Institute for Education Development in the Department of Philosophy and Humanitarian Problems of Education.
In spring, BSAM got a new head — instead of Mikhail Barazna, architect Nastassia Kalasouskaya was appointed to the position of rector. She formulated her main goal as “waking up the Academy.”
