Fire broke out on the territory of Sheremetyevo Airport after a UAV attack
During a large-scale night drone attack on the Moscow region, Sheremetyevo International Airport was affected. A fire was recorded on its territory, and emergency security measures were introduced in the passenger terminals.

According to an analysis by the ASTRA publication, the fire originated in the area of the third runway, but the exact object of damage is not yet known.
The airport management officially confirmed "the fall of UAV debris" but stated that they were at a safe distance from aircraft, there were no casualties, and operations continued in a stable mode.
However, eyewitnesses describe the situation inside the air terminal quite differently. According to passengers, at the time of the attack, employees of shops and check-in counters left their workplaces, the main flight display board was turned off, and people were urged via public address to remain calm and urgently move away from the windows.

“All employees working at the check-in counters and in the shops left their workplaces. The main display board was turned off, only advertisements were spinning. Through the loudspeaker, people were asked to remain calm and move away from the windows,” an ASTRA reader recounted about the situation at the airport at the time of the attack.
Nearest flights "Minsk-Moscow" (Sheremetyevo) have been cancelled or delayed.
