American army launched new strikes on Iran: air defense systems and IRGC boats in the Strait of Hormuz attacked
On Sunday, July 12, the US armed forces carried out a series of strikes on military targets in Iran. This was reported by Axios journalist Barak Ravid, citing a senior American official.
According to the journalist, Iranian missile systems, air defense systems, and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps boats were attacked.
The Iranian side has already confirmed casualties. According to the state news agency IRNA, one employee of the telecommunications company Mobile Communications of Iran was killed and two others were injured in the attacks on the Persian Gulf coast.
The conflict also affected neighboring regions. Kuwait's Ministry of Defense stated that three border posts and an offshore drilling platform belonging to the state oil and gas corporation Kuwait Petroleum were damaged during the exchange of strikes between the US and Iran. The Iranian resource Fars noted that the IRGC, in response, attacked American missile launchers on Kuwaiti territory with drones.
