The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is approaching its end, US President Donald Trump stated during a speech in Maryland.
"Believe it or not, it doesn't look like it, but in reality, the conflict is getting closer to its end," Trump said.
He recalled that he previously considered ending this conflict a relatively easy task, but "this too will happen quite soon."
Previously, the US President repeatedly made statements about the timing of the war's end.
For example, earlier this year he named May, then early July, then the deadline became the midterm congressional elections and gubernatorial elections, which are scheduled to take place in the US on November 3.
