Aliaksandr Taratuta, sentenced three years ago for the murder of his three-year-old son, has been executed
The execution likely took place two years ago.

Slutsk resident Aliaksandr Taratuta was executed two years ago for the murder of his three-year-old son. This happened in accordance with the court's verdict on October 9, 2024, as announced during hearings at the Coordination Council by Andrei Paluda, coordinator of the campaign "Human Rights Defenders Against the Death Penalty in Belarus," reported by "Pozirk."
The hearings took place online on October 6, dedicated to the death penalty in Belarus.
The Criminal Collegium of the Supreme Court on January 9, 2024, upheld the death sentence for the murder of Taratuta's three-year-old son and the child's mother Anastasiya Taratuta (sentenced to the maximum term of imprisonment — 25 years in a strict regime colony). The General Prosecutor's Office then announced that the verdict had entered into force.
This is likely the last known case of a death sentence being carried out in Belarus.
The tragedy in Slutsk district occurred on the night of January 14, 2023.
Little Siamyon was systematically beaten weekly by his parents with their hands, feet, and an "unidentified blunt object" while they were intoxicated, driven by personal animosity towards their son. The boy slept in the kitchen, directly on the linoleum.
The mother regularly abused the child, tied him to the bed, teased the exhausted boy with food, and filmed it.
As a result of one such beating, the boy died from a craniocerebral injury.
