In Buda-Kashalyova district, sunflowers bloom in October. And it was planned that way
In the 'Andreyevka' farm of Buda-Kashalyova district, two sunflower harvests were successfully grown this year in one season. In October, a new planting bloomed on the farm's territory, which surprised even experienced agronomists, reports the 'Belarus 4' TV channel.

This year, 250 hectares were sown with sunflowers on the farm. The yield of the main crop turned out to be high: combine bunkers are filled at a rate of 25-30 centners per hectare. Combine operators note that harvesting this crop is very convenient.

Next to the main field is another plot spanning 85 hectares. There, the sunflowers are just maturing. Just a few months ago, barley grew in this spot, but the farm decided to conduct an experiment and planted sunflowers after it without prior soil preparation.
Despite autumn already having arrived, the plants in this field are nearing the ripeness necessary for harvesting. The farm considers the experiment successful.
