Kyiv was again under attack in the evening, light and water disappeared. At least 25 people died in Ukraine during the day
After Russian shelling in Kyiv on the evening of October 7, serious problems with energy and water supply arose. In the right-bank part of the capital, the movement of electric transport and the funicular was temporarily stopped due to the lack of voltage in the contact network, reports the Ukrainian service of the BBC.

Due to a power deficit, "Ukrenergo" introduced emergency power outages in Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. Previously published outage schedules were not in effect. There were reports of a lack of light in the right-bank part of the capital, as well as in Bucha and Irpin.
Problems also arose with water supply. "Kyivvodokanal" reported a temporary shutdown of electricity supply to individual water treatment plants. Therefore, residents of the right bank might have experienced a decrease in pressure in the water supply network or a temporary absence of water.
Later, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that energy services were restoring electricity supply to the right-bank part of the city, including water pumping stations. According to him, pressure in the water supply system was gradually returning to normal.
Russia attacked Kyiv Oblast with drones throughout the day. Around 5:00 PM, Klitschko reported debris falling in the Solomianskyi district. A fire broke out in a five-story building there, and a private house also caught fire. Eight people were injured.
In the Dniprovskyi district, debris fell near an educational institution, and in the Sviatoshynskyi district, according to information from the Kyiv City Military Administration, debris fell on the roof of an administrative building.
Around 7:00 PM, explosions were heard again in Kyiv. Later, Vitali Klitschko reported 13 injured in the Solomianskyi and Obolonskyi districts. Six injured people were hospitalized. Among the victims was a young woman found near a burning car in Obolon. She was in serious condition. One man died in the Obolonskyi district.
The Kyiv City Department of the State Emergency Service reported that two people died in the Obolonskyi district. In one case, resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful – medics pronounced the victim dead. Rescuers also reported three injured people.
In the evening, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the total number of people killed as a result of the massive Russian strike on Ukraine on October 7 reached 25 people.
