In Novopolotsk, the tram line will be extended. In the future, it is expected to reach Polotsk
In Novopolotsk, there are plans to extend the tram line from Komsomolskaya Street to the "Palimirawski" settlement. The length of the new section will be approximately 3.7 kilometers, writes BelTA.

The project is included in the state program "Transport of Belarus" for 2026-2030. The sources of its funding are currently being determined. In addition to local budget funds, it is planned to attract loans and financing from the republican budget.
Andrei Gladki, Head of the Department of Automobile and Urban Passenger Transport at the Ministry of Transport and Communications, expressed hope that the project would receive further development in 2027. According to him, in the future, this new mode of transport will be available not only to residents of Novopolotsk but also to Polotsk.
Long-term development plans envisage extending the tram tracks to neighboring Polotsk. Currently, Novopolotsk operates a single tram line with two routes connecting residential areas with the industrial zone.
