A woman from Pinsk went to the bank to exchange 100 dollars — and ran into trouble
A 49-year-old resident of Pinsk came to the bank to exchange a $100 bill. The money was left from her father. But it turned out that the bill was counterfeit.

A few years ago, her father sold his car to two young men — and they paid him with these 100 dollars. For years, the money lay at home, raising no suspicions, and only during the exchange at the bank was it revealed to be a fake.
A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 221 of the Criminal Code ("production, storage, or sale of counterfeit money or securities"), the Pinsk District Department of Internal Affairs reports.
For the production, storage with intent to sell, or sale of counterfeit money, penalties may include restriction of liberty for a period of two to five years or deprivation of liberty for a period of two to seven years with or without a fine.
