Minsk is implementing a project to create a unified video surveillance system in the residential sector. As of now, 1141 cameras have been installed. This was reported to Minsk-Novosti by Marina Toustsik, General Director of the 'Minsk City Housing and Communal Services' association.
The main goal of the project is to increase the efficiency of controlling the quality and timeliness of housing and communal services.
"Video cameras will help control the removal of municipal waste, the condition of children's playgrounds, and the quality of cleaning of adjacent territories," explained Marina Toustsik. "This is another step towards ensuring that communal services work more efficiently, and courtyards remain clean, well-maintained, and safe."
In total, 20,000 video surveillance devices are planned to be installed in apartment buildings within two years.
