In Belarus, the minimum amount of alimony may be increased. This was stated on STB by Alena Rasolka, Deputy Head of the Legal Regulation and Activity Support Department of the Main Department of Compulsory Enforcement of the Ministry of Justice.
Currently, the minimum amount of alimony is tied to the subsistence minimum budget. Monthly, the debtor is obliged to pay a portion of their income: 25% for one child, 33% for two, and 50% for three or more children.
Typically, debtors are men aged 30-50. Out of 100,000 debtors, more than 75,000 are officially employed and pay alimony from their earnings.
This year, compulsory enforcement agencies collected 240 million from 250 million rubles in declared alimony claims.
