The accommodation booking service Airbnb has changed its rules. Now, hosts are not allowed to require tourists to clean up after themselves, take out the trash, strip beds, and wash dishes. They can only ask guests to stack dishes in the sink, gather towels, and sort trash into containers inside the apartments.
Also new — the host will be able to limit the number of guests per night.
As before, the service can specify quiet hours, pet allowances, smoking bans, and other rules.
The rules will now be more visible in the listing and in booking reminders.
