Belgosstrakh Possibly Hacked — Millions of Belarusians' Data at Risk
The company does not confirm the leak.
Reports about a possible hacking of the client database spread on Threads. One user, who took out a CASCO policy with the company in November 2025, reported that passport data, registration addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses of clients might have become publicly available.
Blizko.by verified in one of these bots the data of its journalist, who contacted Belgosstrakh in August 2026. According to the editorial office, the bot provided his passport data, phone number, and the date of contact with the insurance company.
The information and reference center of Belgosstrakh told Times.by that reports of a hack are unconfirmed. They said that they have no information about a client data leak. The National Personal Data Protection Center had also not reported a hack at the time of publication.
On the insurance company's website, the personal account and the submission of online applications for organizing medical assistance under voluntary medical insurance are temporarily unavailable. The reason for the technical work is not specified, and there is no information about the timelines for restoration work.
