Cristiano Ronaldo's son invited to Portugal's youth national team for the first time
Ronaldo dos Santos, son of famous Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo, has received his first call-up to Portugal's U-17 youth national team. The team is preparing for the first round of the European Championship qualifiers.

In November, the Portuguese will play against Andorra on November 11, Bulgaria on November 14, and Serbia on November 17. The Portuguese Football Federation announced the player's call-up.
Ronaldo Jr. plays in the academy system of the Saudi club "Al-Nassr," for which his father also plays. Previously, the young footballer played 13 matches for Portugal's national teams of various age categories: four for the U-15 team and nine for the U-16 team. He has five goals to his name.
Before this, Ronaldo Jr. was not included in the U-16 national team squad. Portuguese media speculated that this might have been related to his 41-year-old father's resignation from the national team at the beginning of October at his own request.
It is expected that Cristiano Ronaldo might return to the national team in 2027. The footballer wants to score his one-thousandth goal specifically for the national team, with which he won the European Championship.
