The Plant of the Next Year Has Been Chosen in Belarus

This is thyme.

The voting for the "Plant of the Year — 2027" campaign, organized by the "Botanical Society" with the support of the "Smartpress" portal and the "Wild Nature" company, has ended, writes the Telegram channel "Wild Nature Nearby".

A total of 3277 votes were received on five online platforms:

First place was taken by thyme, which received 1118 votes (34%).

Second place was taken by common oak — 783 votes (24%). Third — lady's slipper orchid — 594 votes (18%).

Thyme became the leader on four out of five platforms and became the winner by a significant margin! It will replace the plant of 2026 — common heather.
