Lukashenka’s Award “For Preservation and Development of Spirituality in Cinema” Presented to Shakhnazarov

Russian film director Karen Shakhnazarov was awarded a Special Prize of Belarusian President “For Preservation and Development of Spirituality in Cinema”.

The award was presented by vice-Prime Minister Anatol Tozik at the opening night of international film festival Listapad–2012 in Minsk.

Karen Shakhnazarov in his address mentioned that he considered himself a “Soviet man” and thus called Belarus “a part of his homeland”.
