A marten sat on a tree in central Minsk all day, but they couldn't get it down.
An animal was spotted at the very top of a tree near the BNTU (Belarusian National Technical University) building on Friday morning. It's not a cat — it's a marten.
How it got up there and where it came from in the city at all is not entirely clear, but the situation is at least tense for the marten itself, writes Onliner.by.
— It has been sitting there since morning. People called the Ministry of Emergency Situations, thinking that they would put up a ladder and lower it. But it turned out that there was nowhere to put the ladder, and the marten also jumps from branch to branch, — one of the students reports.
They say that the animal is clearly frightened, it almost fell from the tree once. It sat and didn't move.
