A Belarusian driver accumulated 280 traffic violations over 20 years. Journalists from av.by met such a driver during a raid with the Traffic Police. This time, the driver was stopped for failing to yield to a young pedestrian.
"I don't argue: the boy should have been let through, but the situation, in my opinion, is ambiguous. (...) The boy should have also looked around! (...) I didn't even think he would go... The car is loaded: I have 4 tons of goods. And I had to brake sharply in such a situation. Although the speed was not high, the cargo could have been damaged," the driver justified himself.
The man has almost 20 years of driving experience – behind the wheel since 2006. And this is his 280th violation.
"Frankly, I have seen this very rarely," the inspector noted.
As a result, the driver received a warning.
