The consumer price index for goods and services in January increased by 0.5% compared to December 2025, Belstat reported.
While core inflation (which does not take into account price changes for certain goods and services subject to administrative and seasonal factors) increased by 0.3%.
If we consider the data for 12 months, then while in December 2025 inflation was 6.8% compared to December 2024, by January 2026 it was only 6.4% compared to January 2025.
Over the month, food prices increased by 0.6%, the same amount in the services sector. However, travel practically did not affect the non-food segment — an increase of only 0.1%.
