Vilnius Belarusian Museum named after Ivan Lutskievich won a tender for the right to lease its former building
The Center for Belarusian Community and Culture is also located in this same building at Vilenskaya Street, 20.

The Belarusian Museum named after Ivan Lutskievich won a public tender for the lease of the building at Vilenskaya Street 20-1C — the premises where the Belarusian House (one of the building's well-known names) has been located for 5 years.
This was confirmed to Radio Svaboda by the head of the institution, Liudvika Kardis. According to her, the previous lease agreement for the building expires on March 25, 2026, and the new one will be concluded for 10 years.
According to the draft agreement that the Ivan Lutskievich Belarusian Museum received from the city administration, the rent for the premises will increase from 121 euros to 1669 euros per year.
“Over five years of renting the building, it has transformed into a real center for the Belarusian community and culture in Lithuania,” says Liudvika Kardis.
She named the main achievements of the museum's staff, its volunteers, and donors: major renovations have been carried out; in addition to the museum, the only public Belarusian library in Lithuania has begun operating; a weekly Belarusian children's school and language courses are running; and art events and meetings are regularly held.
“We are now preparing for the festival of Belarusian poetry and Mother Language Day, which we will celebrate on February 21,” Liudvika Kardis said about the nearest plans.
