260 kilograms of hashish transported through Belarus for a Russian citizen
Belarusian customs officers stopped the delivery of a large batch of drugs from the EU to the EAEU territory — 260 kilograms of hashish. The prohibited substances were hidden in a truck of a Polish carrier, which arrived at the Berestovitsa checkpoint.

According to documents, a "consolidated cargo" was being transported from Poland to a Belarusian company, but the recipient was unaware: drug traffickers used legal goods as a cover for smuggling.

The truck was sent for an additional inspection, where among the declared goods, a hundred briquettes of brown substance were found. Expertise confirmed that it was hashish with a total weight of 260 kilograms.
With the help of Russian security forces, the organizer of the scheme, a 41-year-old Russian citizen, was detained. Criminal cases have been initiated against the group members, providing for punishment of up to 20 years of imprisonment.
