The Minsk Metro will receive 15 new carriages from Russia – these are three five-car trains, which are planned for delivery in 2026. The contract was signed with a machine-building plant in Mytishchi, which has been cooperating with the Minsk subway since Soviet times, reports the press service of "Transmashholding".

The new trains are already familiar to passengers, as they were designed specifically for Minsk and previously supplied to the capital. The carriages have wide doorways with an anti-jamming system, as well as additional LED lighting that indicates the opening and closing of doors.
Ventilation, air conditioning, and heating systems allow for maintaining a comfortable temperature in the cabin in any season. The air inside is disinfected using ultraviolet lamps integrated into the air conditioning system.
Reduced noise and vibration levels are achieved thanks to the pneumatic body suspension and the use of modern insulation materials. The carriages are equipped with asynchronous traction electric motors of Russian production.
The new trains are equipped with a safety and autopilot system that automatically regulates speed, controls acceleration and braking. This reduces the load on the driver and increases traffic safety.
In recent years, the plant in Mytishchi has supplied 48 carriages to Minsk. In total, the capital's metro fleet comprises over 400 carriages, most of which were produced at this very enterprise.
