Iran Decided to Give Up All Stockpiles of Enriched Uranium at US Request
Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi stated in an interview with CBS News that Iran has agreed to give up all stockpiles of enriched uranium at the request of the United States. Muscat is mediating talks between Washington and Tehran.

“The most important achievement, I believe, is the agreement that Iran will never, under any circumstances, possess nuclear material that would allow the creation of a bomb. This makes the dispute about enrichment less relevant, because we are now talking about zero stockpiles,” the minister said.
He added that the implementation of the agreement would be monitored by the IAEA.
“I think there is now an agreement that existing stockpiles will be processed down to the lowest possible level — effectively to a natural level — after which they will be converted into fuel, and this process will be irreversible,” Badr al-Busaidi explained.
