Near Smalyavichy, yesterday's wind destroyed a large greenhouse, and in Cherven, it tore the roof off a bus stop
At the end of May, the weather in Belarus deteriorated significantly: yesterday there was strong wind with gusts reaching approximately 26 m/s. The elements caused significant damage, with the Minsk, Vitebsk, Gomel, and Mogilev regions being the most affected. "Minskaya Pravda" writes about some of the most striking incidents.

The situation was particularly severe in the Smalyavichy district, where strong wind almost completely destroyed a large greenhouse. According to witnesses, it all happened very quickly: the structure was literally torn apart by gusts of wind, and it is currently impossible to restore it.
In the Cherven district, strong wind gusts, downpours, and in some places, hail were also observed. On the M-4 highway near Cherven, there were traffic problems: the wind tore the roof off a bus stop and damaged road signs.

The elements also affected Minsk. Trees fell in the city, including on Niamiha.

In parks, the situation was even worse: about two dozen trees fell in Sevastopol Park, and trees were uprooted in Kievsky Square.

On Kulman street, a tree fell near cars, but, fortunately, no one was injured.

In total, over two hundred trees fell across the country in one day, and at least a dozen cars were damaged. The wind also damaged the roofs of residential buildings and agricultural structures.
