A 75-year-old Minsk resident received a call on her mobile phone from alleged pension fund employees, who, under the guise of "pension recalculation," obtained her passport data.

Then a fake law enforcement officer contacted the Minsk resident and informed her that her data was being used for illegal financial operations.
Having learned that the pensioner's and her husband's money was kept on bank cards, the caller convinced the woman to "protect" them and hand over 11 thousand rubles to a courier.
The metropolitan police remind: employees of social services, banks, and law enforcement agencies do not request personal data over the phone and do not demand money transfers. Upon receiving such calls, it is necessary to stop the conversation and report the incident to the police.
The police advise talking about this topic with elderly relatives and telling them this story.
