A Belarusian woman published a video of an unexpected encounter on Threads. The footage shows a bear behaving calmly and not noticing people nearby. The author says that it all happened just 25 kilometers from Minsk, writes Onliner.by.
In the comments to the post, Karina clarified that the location is in the Myadel direction, between the villages of Sady and Cherniki. "I, of course, wanted to see a bear in the wild, but somewhere 200 kilometers from the plot, not 500 meters," wrote the Minsk resident.
The girl said that her neighbor from the farm sent her the video with the bear on Monday. Off-screen, a woman can be heard calling out to the bear to make it lift its head — in the first few seconds, the animal could easily be mistaken for a wild boar. The video was shot from a car.
— When we bought the plot, we were told that there were hunting grounds nearby and that bears are seen in this area every year. Last year, for example, one was spotted in Lysovichi — that's about 15 kilometers from us. But this time — too close, we are a bit shocked. I hope that bears are timid, the main thing is that they are not rabid. For now, it's not scary, the main thing is not to let our dog out so that it doesn't run away and nothing happens. We also sent the video to another neighbor — she has small children and a farm, so we decided to warn her too.
By the way, Karina recently noticed tracks similar to wolf tracks on her plot. But as for guests like roe deer, deer, and elk, the girl assures, they are already used to them.
