Legendary Canadian hockey player Claude Lemieux committed suicide
One of the best players in National Hockey League history was 60 years old.

Claude Lemieux
According to one source, Lemieux was found by his adult son around 3 AM in the family furniture store after they became concerned that he had not returned home. The hockey player was found in the back storage room.
Lemieux's last public appearance was on Monday, when he carried the torch into the Bell Centre before the start of the Montreal vs. Carolina game.
Claude Lemieux is one of only nine players who have won the Stanley Cup with three different teams: Montreal Canadiens (1986), New Jersey Devils (1995, 2000), and Colorado Avalanche (1996).
Over his career, Lemieux played 234 Stanley Cup playoff games and scored 80 goals – the ninth-best record in NHL history. He was known as a very effective player in decisive games, but also had a reputation as a tough and even rough hockey player. A particularly famous incident occurred in 1996 when his hit led to a serious injury for an opponent and a major conflict between the teams.
Internationally, he played for the Canadian national team: he won the World Junior Championship in 1985 and the Canada Cup in 1987, and also became a silver medalist at the World Cup in 1996.
In Smolensk, a Russian citizen was convicted for threatening in 2020 to insert a stick into a special forces officer from military unit 3214, who participated in the dispersal of protests
