During his visit to Kazakhstan, Vladimir Putin again mispronounced the name of the country's president, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. In his address, he called him «Sargan Kemelevich».

This is not the first time Putin has deliberately or inadvertently confused Tokayev's name or patronymic in public. Previously, he has made similar slips of the tongue, calling the President of Kazakhstan by various name variations. Among them: «Kemel Zhomartovich», «Kassym Zhomartovich Kemelevich», «Kemel Zhomartovich».
