Russia struck energy infrastructure — thousands of families left without electricity
Overnight, Russia attacked energy facilities in four regions of Ukraine — Dnipropetrovsk, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Khmelnytskyi. According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, substations, transformers, and power lines supplying residential buildings were damaged.

The President of Ukraine reported that repair crews are working at the damaged facilities. Hundreds of thousands of people were left without electricity.
According to Zelenskyy, within a week, Russia launched 1940 attack drones, over 1580 guided aerial bombs, and 44 missiles of various types at Ukraine. Of these, 36 were ballistic.
"The intensity of strikes is very high, and the Russians are trying to maximize their use of the deficit in means to intercept ballistic missiles," he stated.
Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine discusses the need for missiles for Patriot systems daily with the USA, European countries, and other partners who can help. He noted new decisions by the USA and European countries on aid packages but called for accelerating deliveries.
"These deliveries cannot wait for years. Russia is destroying infrastructure and killing our people right now and is betting on ballistic missiles this winter," the President of Ukraine emphasized.
