Supermodel Heidi Klum often chooses memorable costumes for Halloween. This time she also surprised everyone — she appeared at her annual party in New York in a costume of a severed human hand with dangling tendons and ligaments.

The costume was created by makeup designer Mike Marino. After a year of deliberation on whether to take on such a job, it took four months to bring the idea to life, he told People.
